I got up early this morning to check up on any responses regarding the submission of my first plugin on WordPress.org last night at midnight. Does anyone know if they are having problems with their web hosting? Are they transferring their domain names to different servers? Could it just be unreachable from this side of the pond?
Worse still, could somebody have tripped on a wire while watching the World Cup? Hehe.
I guess we’ll just we have to wait and find out.

It’s still unreachable. Anyone has better luck?

Looks like all is well now.
Mozilla released an update to its award-winning, free web browser that fixes several security issues.
The release notes on Firefox 1.5.0.4 states:
Firefox 1.5.0.4 is a security update that is part of our ongoing program to provide a safe Internet experience for our customers. We recommend that all users upgrade to this latest version.
- Improvements to product stability
- Several security fixes
Security is always a serious issue (if you do a lot of online banking and purchasing like me) and I always keep Firefox up-to-date, but 1.5.0.3 was crashing on me all the time. I’ve been using 1.5.0.4 non-stop for two whole days now and it seems a lot more rock-solid stable.
Is Apple Store A Cheapskate?
0 Comments Published by eJone 2 years, 4 months ago in Click News, EntertainmentThe first time I walked into the Apple Store on Regent Street in London back in January 2005, I was awestruck. Never have I walked into a computer store that was so un-techie-like, I thought I had walked into a posh designer label store. Each subsequent visit from then on was like a new exciting adventure; I was impressed the whole store, its architecture and design, the staff and how they operate. I couldn’t afford anything there of course, but nothing beats actually being there surrounded by other Mac enthuthiasts.

Serious Vulnerabilities in Wordpress 2.0.1
0 Comments Published by eJone 2 years, 6 months ago in Click News, SecurityBeing new to Wordpress, I scour the web as much as possible to learn more about it. Nothing scares me more than finding out that it can be hacked into, especially when I don’t know much about it. According to CountZero on his blog, multiple security vulnerabilities were found in Wordpress 2.0.1 (which is what I’m using at the moment) by a Spain-based security research team called Neo Security Team (NST). You can find the full published advisories on their website.
There is currently a discussion thread on the Wordpress support site regarding this and mentions of the new 2.0.2 in the works to fix the problems. CountZero has even kindly provided instructions and a small patch to fix what he thinks are the two major issues.
Lara Croft’s New Voice and Body

No, it’s not hollywood heart-throb Angelina Jolie. The seventh installment of the Tomb Raider video games will have British actress Keeley Hawes lending her voice to the new re-vamped (with more realistic physical attributes) Lara Croft in Tomb Raider: Legend, due out this April.
Ms Hawes is best known for her role as Zoe Reynolds in BBC spy TV series Spooks (or MI-5 as it is known in the States).
Eidos has also chosen a new face - and body - for the action heroine. Former Top Shop worker Karima Adebibe from Bethnal Green in London was unvelied earlier this month as the new Lara Croft. The 20-year-old brunette will be wearing the infamous twin thigh gun-holsters previously donned by models Rhona Mitra, Jill De Jong and Nell McAndrew.
